At 43 lbs, the SuperLite is 8 lbs lighter than the L'Edge Lite, and that difference is noticeable both on the portage and on the water. The weight reduction comes from a leaner polyethylene layup, which means this version is best suited to paddlers who spend their time on cleaner lines rather than grinding through shallow rock gardens or taking heavy hits on big drops. For that style of paddling, the added responsiveness more than justifies the trade-off. Now moulded by the team at Liquidlogic, the construction quality is exactly where it needs to be for a canoe in this category.

Progressive rocker at bow and stern gives the L'Edge its signature blend of speed and pivot, and the ash gunwales on this version add a touch of craftsmanship to a high-performance package. Float bags are sold separately and strongly recommended.
